Event Description

This is our pinnacle public event of the year for the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program at UC Davis. We see the 3 Revolutions (which are shared mobility, electrification and automation) as together mapping a blueprint for a sustainable and equitable transportation future. Previous virtual events have hosted more than 1,200 registered attendees from government, law, industry, and academia. For this year’s conference, we will be turning our heads (virtually) towards Washington, DC. to focus on the federal and state roles in shaping policy to steer the 3 Revolutions towards a better future.

Each day will include several deep dive sessions showcasing leading voices in sustainable transportation. The first day will focus on the new role for the incoming federal administration. We’ll begin with tackling federal automation policy and regulation. We’ll also host a session to discuss the needs of transit agencies and the role of new mobility partnerships in improving transit ridership. The second day will turn more to the state and local policy landscape. We’ll discuss California’s efforts to regulate automated vehicles, focusing on how regulations address accessibility for people with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. We’ll also tackle innovations in freight and delivery, as well as policy pathways for electrification of new mobility and delivery services. Throughout both days, we’ll incorporate short policy-relevant research insight pitch sessions from UC Davis faculty, and other top research institutions. We’ll have guests seated at virtual networking tables, and we’ll pause between sessions to allow discussions among conference attendees.
